A B-52G lands at Castle while a KC-135 holds short for takeoff. As the training base for SAC crews, at one time, Castle was one of the busiest airfields in the country. The pattern was always full of BUFFs and Tankers practicing approaches and performing touch and go landings. Made from a 35mm slide. Circa 1984.

This shot brings back some major memories. I've got some slides of a MITO launch at Loring (8 BUFFs, 4 KCs) in the mid 80s. Wonderful pic here, Brian. *****
