The F4U Corsair was produced by Chance Vought Aircraft Co., which this may be or may not be a picture of. General Motors also produced the same aircraft with slight variations titled the FM 2.
It is possible that the F4U Corsair was mainly utilized by the U.S. Marine Corps as a Fighter/Bomber in support of ground troops both in the South Pacific during WWII and in Korea.
The FM 2 was primarily a Navy bird flying off Aircraft Carriers and used to protect the fleet.
