Embraer ERJ-145 (N259JQ)
California Pacific Airlines officially began service four days ago on Thursday, Nov 1 (2018) when this E145 flew Cal Pac's first scheduled flight from Carlsbad, CA (KCRQ) to San Jose (KSJC). The next day, last Friday, Cal Pacific flew its second flight, again to SJC, and later that same morning the airline launched service to its second destination city when N259JQ flew the new airline's third-ever trip from Carlsbad to Reno. This pic captures the California Pacific Airlines Embraer nosing up to Gate B2 where a big welcome party awaited owner Ted Vallas and the first passengers to have flown the new KCRQ-KRNO route.

That's a good looking bird, Gary!
California Pacific became the tenth airline to offer service to Reno, and the fifth new airline in the past four years, joining Southwest, American, United, Delta, Horizon (Alaska), Volaris, jetBlue, Allegiant, and Frontier. Sun Country, which had announced that it would be starting regularly scheduled service later this month, has cancelled its plans to do so.
Hmmm... I'm not sure how "That's" turned in to "That's."
Good to see they recovered an old Delta ERJ. Any idea what the legit livery will look like?
Great pic, Gary - but I am sure you mean "four days ago on Thursday, Nov 1" - and not Oct.
Greg - reading your follow up comment is actually quite funny. There appears to be a punctuation problem in the system.
Gary - to simplify the reading of my comment, I am sure you meant November and not October
Greg, Connor and Viv ... Hi to each of you, and many Thanx for your comments. Connor - Yes. There are four a/c in the fleet, and one is already wearing the full paint scheme. Unfortunately, that particular a/c was involved in a ground mishap (at Denver, I think) just a few days prior to last Thursday's inaugural flight and has not yet been fully repaired. I have a bunch of pics that show the Cal Pac livery on signs in the RNO terminal but the pics aren't appropriate to this site. If I get a sec, I'll locate an on-line shot that shows the livery and I'll post a link. Viv -- Geesh. I'm a full month behind. (grin) I appreciate you waking me up and bringing me back to the present. (big grin) I'll make the needed corrections above. TYVVM, Viv. (Wave)
You are welcome, Gary! And I believe you are correct, Viv. Something in the FA system really does not like apostrophes. So, I am trying to be careful and not use them. ;-)
