Very pleased to have finally caught a click of this one in the air. I had captured it once on the ground, but this snap fulfilled a goal of mine which was to get airborne pics of every special livery in the QXE fleet. Now, it is time for me to focus on fulfilling another goal. If my luck holds, I'll have done it by tonight. (Fingers crossed)

Hey, the nine days of super aviation action kicked off here yesterday. Although the Air Races officially begin tomorrow (Wednesday, Sept 14), the action started yesterday morning and will continue nonstop right thru next Tuesday, Sept 20. Hopefully, you guys will be able to join us next year. Free 24-hour admission for the entire week to every area including the pits and out on the course, free lunch meals daily, free wheels (well, OK, we have to pay for the gasoline, lol), free parking daily, free condo accommodations for the entire week, free 150+ page full-color NCAR history photobook, and free seats. It just can't get any better. As I offered earlier this year, let me know if you are coming next year and I'll get going on making the same arrangements for you as I did for this bunch. Really, guys, all you actually need to do is arrange your air fare to get here; almost everything else (except breakfast and dinner) is covered. I'll be sending/sharing a/c pics with both of you (email, not posting here) soon after everyone heads back home. (I will be away briefly for a B-25 opportunity and also a B-29 opportunity and I'm off on a week-long trip the beginning of October, but then I'm finally home and then I'll finally have time to sit back and get caught up on all your posts from the past few weeks.
