You would be mistaken ... this is the direction for takeoff.. not the reverse of this landing...

Items in your mirror are closer than they look. Items through your telephoto lens are farther than they look. ;+)

Hopefully you checked this off of your 'bucket list' of things to catch before it is gone. This sighting has now become a thing of the past. The KLM Boeing 747 made its final landing at Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten on Friday, Oct. 29th 2016. The jumbo jet used to fly a mere 100 feet above Maho Beach making it a one-of-a-kind location. While small planes will still be flying overhead, none will ever be quite like the 747.
