The call sign when not flying as Air Force One was SAM 80610 and was part of a contingent of 5 similar aircraft 611, 612, 613 and 614. SAM stands for Special AIr Missions flying top Governement personnel and high ranking foreign visitors all over the world. Home base for these Connies was of course Andrews AFB and they were dispersed 1968. For a while they sportedhigh visibility DayGlo painting scheme which was very nice indeed.
I wish ... very deeply ... I had been a part of that group. What a wonderful capture!! Congrats x 5.
