My brother Carl Fratus in Kansas working for GL as a test pilot testing the Great Lakes for airworthiness.

Carl Fratus was responsible for upgrading the GL to the current airworthiness. He had both FAA inspection cert and the one for mechanic and the cool part was that he challenged the tests and passed. Carl loved to fly and wanted to since childhood when he said he wanted to fly a jet. He was a master mechanic and built his own plane a Hawk XP-23 and was featured in the experimental aircraft magazine.
