I like how there's an ad for Universal's fuel card on the side of the DC9.

Winter ops

Hmmm . . . a moving subject that's sharp, with some prop blur, good color, centered, tightly cropped. Seems pretty good to me. An airplane in the sky will have nothing behind it, or clouds behind it. If someone is fortunate enough to be where there are mountains, trees, things like that, good. Otherwise, you take it as it is. I don't think it's that bad. What is bad though is that you're jumping on this guy when you have posted some really terrible images yourself such as , , and - underexposed, far away, drab. This photo and others you have criticized are much better than some of the ones you have posted. So, I wouldn't be 'throwing stones' and would consider a photography class yourself.

I actually did recognize it as a P-51 but it still should have been identified when posted as well as just a little detail behind the photo. I agree with a no or low vote with the lack of any commentary.

Great photo! Everybody is exited.

Written on 04/14/2014 by Guido Warnecke

And this plane is a what? It was taken where? Taken when? Airshow, flight test?

Written on 05/12/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

It's not classified; he can't tell you because he got it from any number of sites all over the web. In other words, he's not the photographer.

Written on 03/17/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

No problem. I've done it myself, unfortunately. Nice shot too.

Wow! A MU2 is fast, but here the wind helped a bit. Welcome to the 400 kts turboprop club!
I am still waiting for my membership...

Amen the that and thanks!

Written on 03/22/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Great shot.

Written on 02/21/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

I agree. It's not necessary to post every-single-snap of the shutter, especially when 99% of it is terrible and should have been deleted. It's absolutely ridiculous to post 74 snapshots of the same plane on approach and takeoff. These are terrible images and a waste of time and space on FlightAware's storage space.

Written on 03/12/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Very good photo.

Written on 03/02/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

Thanks. I've taken many of this plane and yet kept on taking it every time I saw it. The guy that owned it was a hot dog which made for some good angles sometimes.

Written on 02/28/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

A fast aircraft!

Written on 11/05/2013 by Guido Warnecke

Now this is different. I like it.

Looks like an A-1 Skyraider to me.

I hope Juan gets the message.

Again here my question: what does a photo like this contribute to the photo section?

Written on 12/15/2013 by Guido Warnecke

"...Watch for a backup on the 77 North, now back to today's hits..."

Nice! Great colors on that plane.

I am almost sure your camera came with a little booklet - description of the main function e.g. zoom.
May be it is worth to have a look at it.

finally you come up with a nice photo! Bringing that rate up to 3%.
A labeling with aircraft type, registration and location would be nice though...

Written on 08/21/2014 by Guido Warnecke

Not good.

Written on 05/24/2015 by Guido Warnecke

Wow! I've never seen a rainbow effect in all the years I've been shooting. Good shot.

This is a nice photograph. I really like the metering to make it underexposed. That makes the image.

Written on 03/02/2014 by Jimmy Robinson

and if there is n auto-focus switch on your camera... put in in the position "ON".

Really another bad photo with no contribution to the flightaware tracking website.

Written on 03/09/2014 by Guido Warnecke

I agree. There's a whole lot of junk and mediocre images uploaded to this site. Some people seem to do wholesale 'dumping' of photos regardless of quality. They get a high number of posts because they just upload whatever they take, good or bad, mostly bad.
